Bring The Wilds to life

Over 70 years ago, Norwalk lost the opportunity to establish a park at Manresa rather than a power plant. I am incredibly proud to play a part in finally making that vision a reality today.

Every day here is either like a National Geographic episode, or a Post Apocalyptic movie set, and both make for an awesome day.

As a Norwalk resident, the power plant building along the coastline has been an icon and a constant presence in the city my entire life. The idea of not only cleaning up this industrial site but transforming it into a destination and community hub is incredible.

It was a full circle moment for me as I grew up in Connecticut/Rhode Island and spent my whole childhood here so coming back to my roots to do something important for the community is amazing.

I have a strong connection the the New England Coast and the Long Island Sound. I was drawn to the opportunity to take part in this project, which will have such a positive impact for the people of my hometown and the region.

Hearing such positive feedback and enthusiasm from the community and beyond about what we are building—and the public benefit it will bring—reinforces just how meaningful this project is.
