The “Wild About Manresa” Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in community engagement, environmental stewardship, and the interdisciplinary work involved in transforming Manresa Island into a public park through one of the region’s most significant environmental and philanthropic initiatives.
Please email a cover letter/resume to ruby@manresawilds.org with the subject line being the internship title you are applying for.

In addition to supporting efforts tied to the park’s development, interns help expand outreach and engagement across Norwalk and the greater region. From assisting with local events and tours to supporting school visits, public programs, communications, and organizational priorities, interns play a meaningful role in advancing the work.
Throughout the program, interns gain exposure to the wide range of expertise required to bring a major public park to life — including collaboration with leading landscape architecture, planning, design, and environmental remediation firms. Interns also participate in site tours, visits to local landmarks, and opportunities to learn about the history, ecology, and civic context that shape the park’s transformation.

Take a look at a day in the life of a Manresa Wilds intern.
In this video, Project Management and Social Media Intern Mali Rauch (Williams ’26) spends a day on site alongside summer interns from Williams College’s Zilkha Center for the Environment. Mali supported event planning, content creation, and on-site coordination throughout the launch of Manresa Wilds, while also playing a key role in developing this intern video series.
