SONO Arts Festival

Manresa Wilds joined Sono Arts Fest for the first time this year, set up alongside a fine arts and crafts vendors and live music performances on Washington Street. Working alongside our Arts and Culture intern, McKenna, our ambassadors debuted two new hands-on activities built to get people curious about the island in person.

The first was a set of button makers inspired by our glyphs and the wildlife of Connecticut. Kids picked up 3D printed stamps, pressed them into construction paper, and ran the results through a button maker to walk away with a wearable piece of Manresa Wilds.

The second was a clorful centerpiece: a 3D printed diorama of the island itself. Visitors could pick up individual pieces, scan a QR code, and learn about the plans for that part of the island, turning a static model into a hands-on tour of what is coming next.

Also on display were the photos of several local photographers, who attended Manresa's Photography Days and captured the plant.
